The Chicago Project

I think since i have been here for the past three month i have learned alot. I have learned that blacks had it hard in life growing up back then. It is kinda shocking that now we still have some problems about race in the united states after all we have been through together in life. Back then blacks did not have no rights at all and they were always hated by most white people.Now here in 2008 most of us have learned that we are all not diffrent in life we are all the same.Back then people lynching blacks and killing little teenage kids just for staring at a white women.

You don't here about that now these days because we all get along.  Blacks and Whites was not even aloud to go to the same school they was not even aloud to be in the same sport.  Then you look back at the people who have helped blacks through to get freedom and the rights that Whites do now. Martin Luther King Jr. stood up for what he believed in. He believed in that we can all get along and we could all have the same rights as Whites had back then. Now his dream still lives on through us and we keep his dream alive he had a dream about everyone being together at one table and now it has happened Blacks and Whites have no problem with each other anymore.

Another civil rights learder or helper is Rosa parks she thought she didn't have to give up her seat to white person because the bus was full. She stood up for what she believed in and that cause buses in Montgomery to allow blacks to sit where ever they wanted. Everything helped Blacks and Whites to get along with each other it took time for all of us. So for the past three months i have been in this program I think that everyone has now came together better than back in the 1900's
