The Chicago Project

The cincinnati trip really gave me a new thing about life. It taught me that people are worse than me and that it ain't a funny thing its sad. People that I didn't even know have a story on why they are where they are at and all that. Some cause they quit trying and some that have no reason at all. But you see people in life they are trying to make there lifes better than what they are and what they have become so to me people that are homeless they are trying to make a life for themselfs. The riots are caused due to people that are not getting along. I think we just all need to agree on everything instead of fighting or yelling. Then we would know why not to start riots. So this is how the cincinnati trip inspired me and what i think

This is why i think the riots happened. One reason is it was taking us a long time to get use to everything and you know we just got the civil rights passed to give blacks the right to vote. Whites did not want the blacks to vote and yet alone them be in the goverment at all they thought that everything could be messed up that way so the whites hated the idea that they was going to vote. So yeah i don't think some people was happy about the dicision and all and things could not be fixed out of the blue and all it was not that easy to do. Blacks i think wanted jobs and whites didn't want them working with them so blacks were not hired or anything like that. So this got everyone in a bad way and so we had people fighting, Windows bein broken, and it just made it hard for us to adabt to that and learn how to get along with each other. Blacks wanted to work in factories and the wanted the same wage as whites got. Whites didn't think that blacks desevered nothing and that they should be out of jobs.

Its another Feburary there for it is black history month. Black history month is for remembering blacks and the act on trying to get freedom. Yes most of them has came to suceed in thier goals and all but it is our job to remember them to make sure they are never forgotten. That is what this month is about so that way the future can learn about those who has lost there lifes and those who have fought for what they wanted to believe in. There are hero like Harrett Tumben, Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Malcom x, and many more hero's that i can't name at this point. We remember from what they did how they changed our world so when you get ask about what this month mean think about this blog thanks for listening later.

I think since i have been here for the past three month i have learned alot. I have learned that blacks had it hard in life growing up back then. It is kinda shocking that now we still have some problems about race in the united states after all we have been through together in life. Back then blacks did not have no rights at all and they were always hated by most white people.Now here in 2008 most of us have learned that we are all not diffrent in life we are all the same.Back then people lynching blacks and killing little teenage kids just for staring at a white women.
